Friends Women

2:00 Group GathersEvery first Wednesday of the month at 2:00pm, a group of missions-minded women meet at the church to learn about workers on foreign and domestic mission fields and to discuss how they can help. Several times each year, these women give the church at large an opportunity to give generously toward special projects. This Friends Women Fellowship is a member of the EFC-MAYM Friends Women and participates in the larger organization's reading program.

Frances Lanier is the president of our Friends Women Fellowship.

Women's Bible Study
Are you a worn out woman?

On the first and third Sunday evenings of each month, several women meet together to rest and relax their bodies and refresh their souls while studying, The Worn Out Woman, by Dr. Steve Stephens and Alice Gray. They meet at 6:30pm in the high school classroom.

Everyone is welcome. Sue Randall is the group's leader.

Willing Workers Friendly Study Club
Willing Workers is the fund-raising arm of the church. They keep up the kitchen appliances at the church and in the pastor's home. This group also takes responsibility for all the wedding and baby showers in the church. Willing Workers meets sporadically and usually in conjunction with Friendly Study Club (see right hand column). On third Wednesday afternoons at 1:30pm at a house somewhere in or around Argonia or at the church, you'll find a gathering of fun-loving women who like to call themselves the Friendly Study Club. Each month two of the women in this group host the club meeting, providing refreshments for everyone to enjoy while two others provide the program, usually a reading from a Christian book, and a short devotional.
