Our junior quiz teams did great in the first quiz of the 2007-2008 season. Held at the Hyatt in Wichita, Kansas, on December 29th, this quiz was part of the Friends Student Conference program. Argonia Red (Laramie, Matthew and Shannon) and Argonia Blue (Shawn, Seth and Natali) were in opposite pools, so they didn't see each other during the early rounds, but at the end of pool play they were first and second in their pools forcing them to face off in the semi-finals. They went back and forth for most of the match and ended in a 130-130 tie. Argonia Red came out on top after five questions in overtime. 

In the first match after lunch, Argonia Blue fell to a tough Friendswood team, finishing the day in fourth place. In the championship round, Northridge edged out Argonia Red by one question. The final score: 150-140. Argonia Red took second place overall. All in all it was a good day for Argonia quizzing. 

Jessica Fitch and Diana Sanpaka are the coaches of this year's teams. Jonathan Paxson helped out at Friends Student Conference. Our quiz team meets from 6:00-7:30pm every Sunday night to go over Luke 13-24.
